Last word..

Mixed feelings
Razor sharp deep rays
The last word

Unique prompts
Heart warming visions
The last word

Fireflies glowed
Sketches in darkness
The last word

I henceforth won't be writing poetry in this unique form- haiku. Journey has been splendid. Lot of new idea, criticism, praises, friendships, just like Firefly sketching in darkness. I'll try my luck with other forms. Perfect prompt to end too! Thank you all and best wishes!

This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights and Haiku My Heart. The prompt for this week is First.

Inner voice..

Image-In Mysore, by Admin

Gaze at stars
Count one two till it
Falls for you

Pluck the rose
Look into her eyes
Hear deep breaths

Inner voice
Reads vital heart graphs
To beat peaks

Inner voice wants us to scale the unimaginable heights, friend, set out for this journey, take a deep breath, get the stars shining and yes, we will do it. Knock inner self daily, beak the peaks!

This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights and Haiku My Heart. The prompt for this week is Vital.

Leaves that I picked
Tales untold

Humble lives
Unleashed true spirit
Kindles life

Days to come
Strengthens serene forts
Prospers globe

Life, a laboratory of experiments, nurtures us with the experiences and spirits of the people whom we meet on the path to destiny. Remember them, acknowledge them, love them! Strengthen your serene forts!

Lone world..

Image- Lone word, By Admin

All the time
I smiled at strangers
World at me

Never thought
Twice before I walked
Held new hands

Names misspelt
Mom is the lone word
Voiced my soul

It's a heartfelt haiku. Let's make this world a true global village. Hold new hands!

This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights and Haiku My Heart. The prompt for this week is Support.

Dolphin pod..

Image- Symphony,By Admin

Snowy song
Rises from the sea
Shore calms tides

Dolphin pod
Crafting symphony
 Leaps to sky

Huntsman marks
Poor soul reap riches
Guns wisdom

If we look around, our ecosystem is really a wonderland. Time again, man has repeatedly hurt it. To an extent that our fellow beings have become extinct. With wisdom, save the world, save our friends!

This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights and Haiku My Heart. The prompt for this week is Wisdom.

Seven shades..

Image- Seven shades, By Admin

A peacock
Sheds a feather for
First shower

Seven shades
In a moonless night
Tempts to fetch

Distant dreams
Ordinary me
Pen marvels

Goals are always at a distance. Or to put it in a different way- distant things become our goals. Why confine goals to a thing or an object, make it a dream, make it a marvel!

This Haiku is written for Haiku HeightsOSI and Haiku My Heart. The prompt for this week is Ordinary.

Mango tree..

Image-Tree and huts, By Admin

Many rains
From small seed to sweet
Ripe mangoes

Savor joys
Of the first harvest
Pluck the toil

Carefree tree
Survives one more day
Mangoes ripe

Joy of first mango in the garden inspired this haiku. A message also being try to convey- most of us value things only when we realise it's worth. The mango tree lived a carefree life, from an unknown seed it had sprouted, had seen many summers, fed always by mother earth!. From now on, you get attention, water and love!

This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights. The prompt for this week is Joy.

Life in life..

Image:life in Life, By Admin

First page flips
Pursuit of knowledge
Marks the birth

Deep valleys
Attempt to explore
Veiled burrows

In learned path
Enlightened eyes seek
life in Life

Mankind, has Innovated over the years, primary reason being the education. The day we set out for the journey, we are on the pursuit, to find the life( quest of new) in the life. Restless days that pass by,  may not yield results, but the learning never halts. The zeal and desire to gain knowledge, keeps us going!, throughout the life!, without a goodbye!.

This haiku is written for Carry on tuesday and Haiku my heart.

Red petals..

Red Petals, By Admin

Antique pine
Bright lotus blossoms
Lion roars

Red petals
Scattered on the blood
Wound hurt hearts

Lion roars
To guard the supreme
Antique pine

India, these days portrayed as a country of slums and poor, was a major target of many great emperors  that the world saw. They came, looted gold, ornaments and diamonds which were sold in roadside, destroyed idols, spoilt rich architecture of the temples that had lotus and lions!. Let the antique pine get its lost charm back and the roar resound in our hearts!

This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights. The prompt for this week is Pine.

Zero..

Image-Life in Shadow-By Admin

From zero
A endless journey
Stack of mask

Swirls of joy
Shadows of sorrow
Tales of life

Stack of mask
Kid, teen, youth, adult
To zero

Most of us live our life with masks, but, we never realise that the life itself is a stack of different masks. Life involves us playing many roles at times- from zero(birth) to zero(death). Zero defines the infinite life(endless journey)- all in it's big circle- where 'the start' and 'the end' is indefinite!

This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights. The prompt for this week is Mask.

Giant wheel..

Philospoher's Stone
Image-by Admin,@Wonder la, Bengaluru.

Clock ticks eight
Strolling under moon
For your glimpse

For your glimpse
Heart skips a beat- in
Giant wheel

Giant wheel
Eyes meet to follow arc
Ups and downs

Attempt to use Giant wheel as a metaphor for 'love'. It takes a full circle. There are moments where it skips our heartbeats. A image also being depicted here- A boy sitting in the wheel coincidently looks into a girl standing down and end up living ups and downs of life!

Zestful path..

Zestful path
Showed moon in daylight
Spark live long

This is dedicated to all awesome poets of Haiku Heights  and wonderful readers. Zestful here means "enthusiastic enjoyment". Haiku challenge was a great experience, enthusiasm at its peak, lot of new ideas, different prespectives. It showed us the moon in the broad daylight!. Let's keep the spark alive and let the glory of this Haiku month prevail!

Fifty sensations..

Beach footprints
Fifty sensations
Lord, steer Stone

This Haiku is written for The Heights Of Haiku - April 2012. Thank you for having no prompt today!

Freedom of joy, freedom of expressing and freedom of enjoying voidness had made me start this blog. After the fiftieth post, the happiness remains the same. With every post, blog evovled, got better. Like the footprints in the beach, every wave that came in, that left behind corals in it. Friend, heartfelt thanks for your encouragement, help, support, comments, likes, criticisms. Lord, steer the Stone!

Tall Shadow..

Tall shadow
In the clear water
Seed crafts waves

This would have happened to most of us and wish it happens to all. In the portrait here, a couple is standing under a tree on the banks of a beautiful lake. Their love is as  pure/clear as the water of lake and is seeded/deep rooted in their hearts. A seed from the tree falls to lake, magical waves, crafts a salsa of the tall shadows!

World twinkles..

Glossy home
Hold back temptations
World twinkles

Modern society has become materialistic. Most of us find solace in glossy and superficial things. In the process, we have limited ourselves, stopped thinking out of box, resulting in a less innovative lifestyle. If these temptations are held back, we will soon start realising that it's not only the star that twinkles, even the world does!

This Haiku is written for The Heights Of Haiku - April 2012 and The MAG. The prompt for today is Temptation.

Pick pearls..

Silver clouds
Drizzling melodies
Friend, pick pearls

A rainy day after a long summer brings lot of happiness. To make the most out of it, I sat in the balcony with a glass of tea, and these lines just came out!. Nature looked refreshed- cool breeze, silver clouds, musical drizzles, tiny bubbles, and the best part- the drops that slid down in a rose. My dear friend, Treasure these pearls(moments)!

Shoreline..

Great pursuit
My kismet beacons
Shoreline reefs

Most of us don't heed to our inner voice, hence end up beating the bush and cursing life. Meditation is the best medicine. Kismet- Destiny always beacons. May be in a reef far away. Looking at it from the shore and feeling proud of the pursuit so far, could make the Destiny out of sight. Never rest till the goals are achieved is the message here.

This Haiku is written for The Heights Of Haiku - April 2012. The prompt for today is  Kismet.

Wrecked hearts..

Rain pour bliss
Your hackneyed ardours
Have wrecked hearts

Attempt to put two emotions. Both of them longing for bliss. First one, gazing at the rain Gods for a downpour after a prolonged zeal of Sun, which has resulted in dried-up crops, greenless farms. Second one, a lover who is unable to convey his/her feelings and is just hoping that the feelings become mutual!

This Haiku is written for The Heights Of Haiku - April 2012. The prompt for today is Bliss.

Roofless..

Starved eyes pray
For bright horizon
Roofless hut

World always discriminated rich and poor. This gap always increased. Prayer is the only hope for poor, praying for a square of meal, praying for basic amenities, praying for their shelter. Irony is depicted in last two lines. Mesmerized, on how the way world runs, on how we celebrate, on how we survive, on how one wishes for brightness in a roofless hut. Attempt to show the dark side of "Mesmerization".

This Haiku is written for The Heights Of Haiku - April 2012. The prompt for today is Mesmerize.
